The ship, which was cruising in Kocaeli’s Körfez district, could not stop and crashed into 3 cranes on Evyapport port. The cranes fell down one by one, like a domino effect, with great noise. After the incident was reported, health, police and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area. The teams arrived at the scene in a short time and inspected the area to find out whether there were any injuries. In addition, thermal and security camera checks were made. The absence of workers and crane operators at the time of the accident prevented a major disaster.
